Jil Sander Menswear Fall 2011

Designer: Raf Simons

What is so refreshing about Jil Sander is that she confidently adds bold and bright splashes of colour which are a perfect match to the overall outfit and do not seek to overtake it, but add to it. Of course, it is a common feature of her womenswear line, but what makes it extra special is that it encourages men to wear colour, be it aqua, pink, orange or green, showing them that it can be restrained, classic and if you're concerned about these sort of things, "masculine". Most of the other menswear collections are dominated by dark and monochromatic tones, and if they are colourful like D&G they are usually very casual and have a pop-cultural appeal. This sets Jil Sander apart from the rest. So any man (or woman) reading this blog, take a risk, pick a colour that suits you and go for it this Fall (brighten up your winter!)

If you're not sure which colours suit your eye colour, skin tone and hair colour, see here to find out and choosing colours will never be difficult again.
